Description
Herschel Advantage IR Indoor Infrared Space Heater
The Herschel advantage range looks like a traditional electric heater at first glance, but it is actually a quality infrared heater, suitable for indoor workshops and workspace zone heating. The Advantage IR comes in two powers, 1300 watts and 1950 watts with 2 or 3 high-emission ceramic heating elements, fitted into a directional, reflective unit. Unlike a convection heater, it is designed to gently heat surfaces rather than the air in between. This makes it ideal for large indoor areas.
The heater develops full output power within 5-8 minutes – and unlike electric convection heaters, the unit will not glow – the only effect you will notice is the gentle warmth. Download the product datasheet for more information.
How to install the Advantage IR Infrared Heater
The heater should be installed around 2.3 to 2.5m from ground level, with the heaters angled down at 60 degrees (it must be installed in accordance with installation instructions). They are much more efficient at warming an open area than a convection heater, because less heat gets lost to the atmosphere before it has warmed you or a surface nearby. Try them in a garage or workshop to make winter work on the car a lot more comfortable.

Nobody walks into our kitchen without commenting on this amazing heater, as a wall of warmth greets them – once a cold and problem area to heat due to lack of wall space to hang any radiators. The IR2 not only solved our problem it did it in style and better than we could have ever hoped.
Rob James –
Very good. Prompt delivery and as described on this website.

I was sceptical about this technology as I received conflicting advice from websites about how good this product is. Have to say having had it in our church hall for 2 months it working absolutely fine. THe volunteers are no longer cold in our weekly meetings and it is so much better than the fan heaters we had before that used to overheat. A cautious welcome for these heaters but I will have to see how they perform over the whole winter.

Good speedy delivery. Product as described. Thanks

We have used a mixture of the IR3 and IR2 heaters to update the heating for in a church. The main reason for choosing these was because we did not want the bright red glow from the cheaper halogen units. They provide a good comfortable heat without being overpowering or too directional and look neat. Members of our congregation report that they have noticed a big improvement, particularly in how quick the building warms up.

Powerful, yet comfortable. A great heater for my patio, fairly expensive to buy but very impressed with the low running costs compared with my old halogen heater.
